As Leading Accounting manager you are part of the larger Nike Controlling Organization and embrace best practices. You will drive the European team in: • Coordinate and perform monthly financial statement close with stakeholders both in Finance outside Finance. Perform financial statement analysis and advice on financial implication of business decisions. • Work closely with 3rd party outsourcing company who supports our transactional work. Provide guideline and resolve issues with them if there are. • Evaluate the effectiveness of controls and make recommendations on opportunities for improvement. • Review monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations for higher-risk areas. • Have high level of knowledge of USGAAP & Sox controls: ability to assess on US GAAP matters and perform US GAAP research on various topics. • Research financial anomalies and make corrections as necessary. • Work closely with cross-functional counterparts on special projects.
