Acts as the regional subject matter expert on Compensation & Benefits as well as Global Mobility. Drives program implementation and change management and provides consultancy to HR and senior managers in the region. Acts as guardian of the Damco C&B policy, principles & procedures. This role will also be involved in other regional operational projects and programs depending on needs and capabilities.

·  Is the Regional expert  and provides C&B  leadership to Management and HR Colleagues

·  Drives program implementation for the Region in coordination with global and other regional colleagues

·  Actively participates in global SME calls to provide Regional  insights to the global team

·  Participates in global project and acts as a global representative

·  Stays abreast of latest trends in the Region/Industry in the specific area of expertise

·  Has the role as “Compensation Specialist” in the SAP HCM tool and makes backend updates/changes as required

·  Guards MLB principles and promotes sound practices and decision making

·  Manages exceptions to agreed policy and seeks approvals as required

GMA Level Positions

·  Has Global program ownership and/or leads global projects

·  Proficient in driving significant change management efforts in the C&B area

·  Global head of Compensation & Benefit

·  Regional Line Management incl. HR Management

·  Local HR including 9 Area HR managers across East and West Europe

·  Region subject matter experts in other HR expertise areas

·  Participate in the global Compensation & Benefit Community of Practice

·  Third party providers of research and consultancy

·  Peers in other companies

·  High level of analytical skills

·  Ability to translate expertise language into clear and concise non-expert business language

·  Can work both in the detail and at a conceptual level

·  Able to anticipate the consequences of decisions on other HR processes and the business

·  At least 5 years of experience in the area of expertise

·  Experience of cross border working, ideally in an international environment

·  Annual cycle – timely completion & excellent preparation

·  Ensure compliance to  all processes/procedures

·  Monitor internal/external markets to identify trends & anticipate business needs

·  To lead improvement through the introduction of good practice
