The Leadership Development Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing leadership development and learning programs within the International business. The position will work with various international stakeholders to determine leadership development and learning needs and deliver solutions that improve leadership capability and performance. This position will be accountable for delivering ongoing support and measuring the effectiveness of assigned developmental programs
Tasks & responsibilities
- Works in partnership with the L&D Consultant, CoE and International business lines to coordinate and support the design, development, delivery and measurement of leadership development and learning programs
- Undertakes needs assessments with business/division leadership to identify additional leadership development and learning needs, as appropriate
- Determines instructional methods for most effective delivery of leadership development and learning programs
- Researches and incorporates learning techniques and technologies, matching industry best practices
- Faclitates dynamic and impactful learning through multiple delivery channels
- Manages all aspects of assigned International leadership development events and programs with support from the leadership development Services team
- Evaluates learning initiatives for effectiveness and impact, and provides ROI data to key learning stakeholders
- Utilizes a range of psychometric and multi-rater feedback tools to enhance the impact of developmental activities and programs
- Provides guidance, coaching, and follow up
Requirements
Education:
- Masters degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Advanced degree in Organizational Behaviour, Psychology or a related field desired
- Certification to administer psychometric assessments (BPS or equivalent) desired
- Certification in one or more industry leading developmental methodologies strongly desired.
Experience:
- works on most complex leadership development assignments.
- Strong consultative component with Managers and Sr. Managers in carrying out work
- Manages development programs unassisted, combining content, project management, design and implementation (program examples include 1st Time Supervisor/Leader, Coaching, JIT Learning, MyVoice Facilitation, etc.)
- Handles projects of more ambiguous nature requiring more original thinking and initiative.
- Handles requests independently
- Typically 5-7+ years’ experience.
