Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager has the overall responsibility and ownership for the flow of products throughout the entire value chain – from our suppliers and manufacturers to our customers. You will drive growth and profitability by providing world-class supply chain performance, continuous improvement of processes, automation, and cost-reduction initiatives.Your ability to think customer-first ensures the design and implementation of smart, digital and frictionless solutions exceeding our customers' expectations. You will also ensure that Peterson works with the best partners that share our vision of continuous improvement. 

Your primary responsibilities are to ensure that the products are delivered on time and that materials and services are purchased at the best available prices. In order to succeed in your job, you need to work closely with sales, finance and suppliers of raw materials and logistics.

You will further establish best-practice routines in Peterson by sharing your experience and knowledge with colleagues in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Main areas of responsibilities

• Lead Petersons work with developing an overall Supply Chain strategy
• Lead and develop the Supply Chain organization
• Ensure world-class operational performance (OTIF)
• Continuous improvement of the internal/external processes required for the purchasing of services and goods to support manufacturing
• Continual Improvement of the overall forecasting and planning systems though automation activities
• Identify and implement initiatives to minimize freight and warehousing costs
• Identify and implement KPI’s and structures which encourages and rewards those that continuously move our company towards achieving our sustainability goals
• Be responsible that we are compliant to our safety first-principles
• Ensure that we comply with our quality standards

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a production company
• Experienced in ERP-systems (SAP)
• Experience in establishing a Supply Chain unit/department
• Advanced knowledge of Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent English and Norwegian, both written and verbal (or another Scandinavian language)
